Now ain't Lent for them Catholics? Well, I'm not Catholic anymore but in Christianity fasting is fasting so I'm participating. I figure if Jesus could sacrifice his comfort on a cross I can sacrifice sweets and Lupe Fiasco, ya dig? This year I might fast during Ramadan... complete with the five daily prayers and all. Why? 'Cos I think that a lot of people who claim to practice one of the three larger monotheistic faiths have a tendency to judge one another without learning about what makes us so "different." Of course I'll be praying to Jesus but hey... how are you gonna understand a culture without immersing yourself in it (even if it's just a wee bit). But we'll see how that goes. On a lighter note...
